We met him at the Seattle Home Show and since we live quite a ways from town, we asked if he would be willing to do an initial quote via email. I like that he was flexible with this arrangement, which saved me time when trying to organize multiple bids for the project. He was upfront about the pieces they wouldn't be able to do and helped us clarify exactly what we wanted without spending half the day trying to sell us with the typical line that all the installers give about how much better their product is (I've sat through a few of those and they really annoy me).
This summer was much cooler in our house with the improved energy efficiency on the windows. Looking forward to seeing the impact to our winter heating bill.

Yes! The installers were great - we had front and back sliders, both double doors which necessitated the installers Rusty and the quiet guy to completely remove the super-structure which supported the outer doors. This was a complicated task, but they finished it within the day, left the place immaculate, and did a quick and efficient job. They were also very pleasant, and kept me informed of things during the course of the installation, and didn't mind avoiding face-level swipes from my cat. All in a day's work.
We're likely to replace another slider, and possibly some other windows, and will happily contract with these guys from Colbert WA again.
